Next appointment for The Zero-3000 Extreme Race: 2014

The Organising Commitee of the Zero-3000 Extreme Race announces that the second edition of the event will take place in 2014.

The only race in the world that combines two endurance sports like cycling and ski mountaineering bringing the athletes up to the highest peak of the Marmolada, Queen of the Dolomites, becomes an unmissable appointment every two years.

After the huge success of the first edition, that saw a great challenge on a spectacular and extremly selective route between athletes like Ivan Basso, Alessandro Follador and Andrea Peron, men and women of steel can continue to train themselves for the challenge (alone or in pairs) of this hard track. The goal is to cover 3715 m of altitude change in the least time possible, 1900 meters distributed over 124 km by bicycle and another 1800 m with skis on a climb of about 12 km.

“The second edition will be even more exciting” promises Marco Sartori of the Organising Commitee. “ Thanks to the suggestions received from the participants and the collaboration of many sponsors, we are developing many new things from logistics to the organization of the track”.
